Getting about the island is really a matter of personal choice. There are several Car Hire companies to choose from wherever you choose to base yourself although it should be borne in mind that some of the most spectacular scenery is to be found off road so bear that in mind when choosing a vehicle.
Cycling is quite popular and there are many outlets that will hire out a couple of good bikes for all terrain types for around 10 to 12 Euros a day for the pair. Buses are quite a good way to see the island if you prefer not to drive and quite good links are provided from all the main Towns and Resort centres on the island. Fare prices are extremely reasonable. Other modes of transport include off road trikes or three wheeler Harley Davidsons.
